StadtRäume - UrbanSpaces: Follow us on Facebook and Instagram

About one and a half years ago, the starting signal was given for the international cooperation project "StadtRäume / UrbanSpaces" (in short: StaR-UrbS), in which numerous partner institutions of the OGV from Jülich as well as from the European Leverkusen partner cities Bracknell, Ljubljana, Oulu, Ratibor, Schwedt and Villeneuve d'Ascq are participating.

About one and a half years ago, the starting signal was given for the international cooperation project "StadtRäume / UrbanSpaces" (StaR-UrbS for short), in which numerous partner institutions of the OGV from Jülich as well as from the European Leverkusen partner cities Bracknell, Ljubljana, Oulu, Ratibor, Schwedt and Villeneuve d'Ascq are participating. Together, the history of the "interwar period" between 1918 and 1933 in eight European cities will be examined and compared. In addition to a joint exhibition and publication, an important goal is the creation of film clips that can be individually assembled in a multilingual film construction kit.

In the meantime, research has already been done on some topics and sources have been collected. Within the project, a very committed group of youths and young adults from all eight project cities has come together. Together they present the project on the social media platforms Facebook and Instagram. Posts are regularly published there that deal with various aspects of the time between the world wars in Europe and convey interesting facts about the history of the cities involved in the project. The StaR-UrbS social media channels also draw attention to commemorative days or birthdays of famous personalities significant for the interwar period.

We cordially invite you to visit the project's profiles on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/UrbanSpaces-105396138555519) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/urbanspaces.eu/?hl=de) and take a look at the diverse and eventful era of the "interwar period". Comments, likes and shares of the posts are expressly welcome!
